          2008

- Mike Watson begins role as SNPA Board President for 2008.

- Visitor Centers will open for the season on Friday, March 21, 2008.

- Ranger programs will begin in April.  Dates and times will be posted, once schedule is finalized, on the parks website at www.nps.gov/shen.

- National Junior Ranger Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2008.

- Wildflower Weekend will be held on Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11.  You can call the Byrd Visitor Center at 540-999-3283 for program details after they open on March 21, 2008.

- SNPA Membership Days is scheduled for June 6 & 7, 2008.
